Classic branding for modern engineering

Dowsetts Classic Car Company (DCC) approached Beaver Group to create not only their online presence, but their branding and print requirements for the business. Dowsetts Classic Car Company is a small British car company based in East Hertfordshire founded by the TV personality and co “For The Love of Cars” presenter Ant Anstead along with his team all with a passion for classic cars.

Key elements with our approach for the logo mark: We want the logo to be classic in appearance yet retain a sense and feel of the modern. We also wanted to incorporate a local but British heritage to the mark.

The final mark is used throughout all of their stationary (business cards, letter heads, comp slips) – through to the final badge seen on their stunning cars.

The final result references local elements such as the antlers, castle/crown and ford – all seen historically throughout Hertfordshire. With the second half of the shield containing British and racing flags all surrounded and contained by the typography ‘belt’ containing the brands name.
