Rug Sizer

We have recently launched a new solution at the Milton Keynes store, located in their rug and textiles department. The rug sizer is an intuitive, interactive, and augmented reality concept which drives a bright NEC Laser projector to project the life-sized rug dimensions on the floor in front of the customer. This is all controlled via a 22″ interactive screen running a custom developed HTML app, linked to the signage.ninja platform.

The rug sizer solution has since been installed at two global IKEA sites:
Eindhoven, Netherlands and Klagenfurt, Austria.

Read our blog post for more information.

How big should your rug be?

IKEA understands that some customers sometimes cannot fully visualise the correct rug size that they need. This is because the rugs in store are suspended upright on display or rolled up for purchase. The measurements are readily available – but unlike other products in store – customers can’t easily see if it ‘looks right’.

The digital menus are managed seamlessly across the whole estate via Beaver Group’s own application, signage.ninja. While the Food Team at the Service Office have control of the products on offer, pricing and food attributes, the food managers in the store have the ability to switch items  and menus when needed (for example, when a product sells out).

All users can use the RealView feature to see exactly what is playing live, or during any future day-part.

For the thousands of customers who eat at IKEA each day, keeping the menus relevant and informative is vital, and keeps queues flowing and ensures menu compliance across the whole IKEA estate.

In-store teams are able to manage their areas with user level controls tuned for the stores, the Service Office managers and the different roles

IKEA in Signage Ninja

Throughout the main showroom, digital signage and projector solutions have been provided to give customers more information about the huge range of products available. With touch screen displays in the Kitchen Knowledge area, laser projection in the Living Room department and digital signage throughout – the customer journey through the store is guided and informed, every step of the way.

Projects installed at every store in the UK and Ireland

Co-Worker Areas

Keeping staff informed is as important as ever, so there have been several implementations of displays in the ‘back-of-house’ areas for the IKEA Co-Workers. These displays provide important staff information, which are all managed by the internal communication managers.

Working with IKEA, Beaver Group have also successfully implemented a number of projects, including:

Rug Sizer

Using a 22” Touch Display and overhead laser projector, customers can literally see the style and exact size of the rugs on offer projected in front of them on the floor – helping to visualise the right product for them and reduce the number of returned items. Read more.

Interactive Video Walls

Using six 55” displays and the advanced ShadowSense touch technology, customers are able to create mood boards through an easy-to-use interactive experience, designed especially for IKEA.

Audio Pods

In some stores, background audio solutions are used to provide atmosphere in certain areas. These solutions are also run from the same signage.ninja system, as the digital signage.

Live Workshop Presentations

In the newly refurbished Textiles department, IKEA are running live presentations and demonstrations. As part of this, a live TV studio solution has been implemented to record, display and broadcast these live workshops.

Social Video Wall

We creatively curate a customised social media feed for IKEA Video Walls. Customers can share their interior decorating,
for others to draw inspiration.
